Each year Preserve America selects its Gatekeepers of History. The Gatekeepers are chosen from the many people Preserve America has encountered whose work epitomizes the ideals, values, and traditions on which America is based. These honorees are extraordinary examples of those who have dedicated their lives to the preservation or conservation of their own piece of Americana.
